Two oliveCEPT® units heading for Portugal

ArcAroma signs the first agreement on oliveCEPT® in Portugal.

ArcAroma signs the first agreement in Portugal with olive oil producer Fio Dourado for the delivery and installation of two oliveCEPT® units.

Fio Dourado is a fourth-generation family-owned company in the olive oil business and it is located in the area of Santarem of Portugal. The mill has three large production lines of advanced olive oil extraction technology and the oliveCEPT® twin system will be integrated into one of them.

The installation is expected to improve the extraction volume of EVOO, reduce extraction time, and improve quality.

““In the last 20 years, Portuguese olive groves have undergone a profound transformation: from a traditional and non-competitive olive grove to a modern and efficient olive grove,”

Portugal has the potential to be the third-largest producer of olive oil in the next ten years, according to a study cited in Olive Oil Times

An important driving factor has been the modernization of the country’s olive oil mills.

Olive oil now makes up 9 percent of the value of all of Portugal’s annual agricultural production.

ArcAroma sees excellent potential in oliveCEPT® being a part of the sustainable growth in Portugal’s olive oil market.
