OptiCept Technologies is happy to announce our participation in Expo Forestal, taking place on November 13-14, 2025.
OptiCept will primarily be showcasing the OPTIBOOST® FC1 application and its benefits in forestry, as well as the company’s OPTICEPT® range based on Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) technology.
Expo Forestal Perú 2025 is a major forest-plantations investment and commercial forestry sector event in Peru. It is organised by the government forestry body SERFOR (part of the Ministry of Agriculture & Irrigation) via its Sustainable Productive Forests programme.
A showcase where public institutions, private companies, and cooperators (national & international) will exhibit the latest in goods, services, innovations linked to commercial forest plantations.
Our VI platform OPTIBOOST® improves the rooting and survival rate of cuttings. As well as decreasing losses in clone cuttings. There are numerous benefits for the forest industry generated by the method. Including better rooting quality, acceleration of root formation, and an increase in the nurseries’ capacity.
The OPTIBOOST® FC1 is a highly efficient and user-friendly Vacuum Infusion (VI) system designed specifically for forest cuttings. Built with a stainless steel frame and a modular design, it offers both convenience and scalability.
OptiCept has been conducting an extensive research project aimed at improving the propagation and growth rates of pine cuttings. The results so far have been overwhelmingly positive, confirming that OptiBoost enhances the rooting rate of pine cuttings while also accelerating their growth rate by more than 10%.
The numbers speak for themselves: eucalyptus cuttings treated with OptiCept’s technology are showing an average rooting rate increase of at least 77% per customer!
The OptiCept team is contionouosly developing the OptiBoost technology for cuttings to include more and more tree species. After first trials with Corymbia – we are thrilled to share some quite amazing results for these species as well
