Numerous advantages can be achieved by installing a juiceCEPT® application into a juice extraction line. The heat effect of the treatment is low and the heating of the juice is limited to only 1-3° Celsius.

How does the juiceCEPT® work?

The treatment is based on PEF (pulsed electric fields). OptiCept has refined and developed the technology to extreme efficiency. The patented CEPT® platform is a high voltage generator combined with treatment chambers. 

The basic principle of the technology is the application of short square wave pulses of high voltage that generate very high electric fields. Due to the short pulses of microsecond magnitude, excessive heating and undesirable electrolytic reactions are minimized.

juiceCEPT® is installed in the initial phase of the extraction process, as our other application, juiceCEPT+®, designed to extend shelf-life and keep nutrient values intact, is installed right before bottling. The two applications can also be combined. 

In addition to quantitative increase, vital nutrients and vitamins are also increased.

Color and aroma are improved and the juice gets an increased feeling of freshness. Leaving you with higher volumes of each processed fruit but also of higher quality.

The juiceCEPT® consists of a CEPT v6 PEF high-voltage generator and a cabinet with an optimized booster step. The equipment continuously monitors and logs pressure, and temperature before and after the treatment as well as the product flow. These sensors provide valuable information about the treatment process and allow complete quality assurance and process safety.
