Le PEF (champ électrique pulsé) montre des améliorations significatives dans l'extraction de l'huile d'olive

Au cours de la saison 2022-2023, OptiCept Technologies a travaillé avec l'institut de recherche espagnol IFAPA pour analyser l'effet de la technologie CEPT. Les résultats confirment les bons effets du traitement sur l'extraction de l'huile d'olive, qui attire maintenant beaucoup d'attention dans la péninsule ibérique.

A scientific study demonstrating both improved efficiency et increased extraction de l'extraction de l'huile d'olive oil assisted by the PEF technology CEPT attracted several leading l'extraction de l'huile d'olive oil producers to a seminar organized by OptiCept and the espagnol recherche institut IFAPA, as the results were presented. 

Augmentation du rendement, meilleure efficacité et qualité

Deux principales variétés d'olives ont été testées lors de ces essais ; Arbequina et Picual, avec de bons résultats pour les deux variétés. Une amélioration de l'efficacité du processus et une augmentation significative de l'extraction ont pu être démontrées pour les deux variétés d'olives. Pour Picual, le taux d'extraction a augmenté de 7,57 % et pour Arbequina de 4,55 %. En outre, des améliorations de la qualité ont été démontrées sous la forme d'un contenu nutritionnel accru.

To illustrate the great value generated by the OPTICEPT® technology:  a customer with an OPTICEPT® LO7 installed with a capacity of up to 10 tonnes per hour extracts between 11 and 17 tonnes more extra virgin olive oil per day during 24-hour production.

Recherche scientifique sur le traitement PEF dans le processus d'extraction de l'huile d'olive

While several studies have been carried out in the past to confirm the effects of pulsed electric field treatment on olive oil production.

 

For example, In 2020, researchers at the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Science at the University of Perugia, Italy, carried out a study with the aim “to evaluate the ability of pulsed electric field (PEF) technology to improve the extractability and enhance the oil quality in an industrial olive oil extraction process”.

 

However, this study specifically shows the results of the OPTICEPT® application, a device tailored for applying PEF in olive oil production.

About OPTICEPT® for olive oil in short

The OPTICEPT® LO7 and LO6 is an application that integrates into the traditional olive oil processing line to increase EVOO extraction and quality. In effect, boosting profitability.

 

The pre-treatment of olive paste is based on PEF (pulsed electric fields). OptiCept has refined and developed the technology to extreme efficiency. The patented CEPT® platform is a high-voltage generator combined with treatment chambers. 

Le principe de base de la technologie est l'application de courtes impulsions carrées de haute tension qui génèrent des champs électriques très élevés. En raison des impulsions courtes d'une microseconde, un échauffement excessif et des réactions électrolytiques indésirables sont minimisés.

 

The integration of OPTICEPT® is made in the initial stage of the process, right after the crusher, before malaxation, and has a very small footprint. 

 

The system consists of a PEF generator and a treatment chamber. The connection to the OPTICEPT® is done via stainless steel, food-grade fittings.
