Coca-Cola evaluating juiceCEPT for extraction of cold brewed green tea.

We are excited to announce that today we signed an agreement with Coca-Cola Shanghai for a collaboration.

Today we’ve signed an agreement with Coca-Cola Beverage Company Shanghai for a collaboration where Coca-Cola will evaluate juiceCEPT® during the summer for extraction of cold brewed green tea.

Cold brewed green tea is a growing product with great advantages over other beverages because it has a very high content of antioxidants and other nutrients. The process of brewing cold tea normally takes about 24 hours, but with juiceCEPT® this can be done in less than 1 hour.

When brewing tea cold, the antioxidants are not destroyed, it also becomes a softer taste. The product therefore fits very well into the growing segment “super foods”

In China and Asia, Green Tea is more than often consumed cold. A custom that now has spread worldwide.
 
While all types of teas contain antioxidants, green tea is said to contain the highest amount.  And a cold-brew tea is much richer in health benefits than a hot-brewed.
 
Cold-brewed tea treated with CEPT® technology has fewer tannins (less bitterness) – meaning you get both a tastier and healthier drink, all at once!
